Sébastien de Feraudy fell in love with photography as a child in France, admiring his father as he developed film in his own darkroom. Slow and contemplative in his work, the now-San Franciscan emphasizes mood and composition over precision or reality. Inspired by Impressionism and Wabi Sabi, his medium of choice is the platinotype — a one-of-a-kind photographic print made by a monochrome printing process involving platinum. Handmade in Austin, Texas.
